Karen Ross was caught in the act of improving our community’s quality of life through her work on Sierra Pacific’s Energy Assistance Expo 2008. This event provided low-income residents with an opportunity to learn about all the ways Sierra Pacific Power and local nonprofit agencies can help them deal with their energy bills, save money, and learn to use energy more efficiently. It brought many health and human services providers to one location to be a “one-stop shop” for people needing services.
Through the Energy Assistance Expo 2008, Karen Ross and Sierra Pacific Power positively impacted the Individual and Family Wellbeing Quality of Life Indicator and the Transformative Community Initiatives Quality of Life Indicator.
