Lynda Nelson, Planning Manager, Washoe County Regional Parks & Open Space, was caught in the act of improving our community’s quality of life through all of her work with the Great Truckee Meadows Community Cleanup and Illegal Dumping Task Force.

The 2008 Great Truckee Meadows Community Cleanup resulted in the removal of 116 tons of trash, over 500 tires and 11 abandoned vehicles from the Truckee Meadows region.

The Illegal Dumping Task Force was created to address the best ways to educate the Truckee Meadows community of the ramifications of illegal dumping in our open spaces.

Through her work with both these programs, Lynda has positively impacted the Natural Environment Indicators as well as the Civility & Neighborhood Pride Indicator.

Join Truckee Meadows Tomorrow in recognizing Lynda Nelson at TMT’s September 25th quarterly membership meeting on September 25th at 7:30 a.m. at Remedee’s Meeting Room at Renown.  Click here for more information.
