The Truckee Meadows has experienced dynamic growth over the last several years. The population growth in Washoe County is expected to reach 620,000 by the year 2030.  With this growth comes challenges to meet the transportation needs of our community. The RTC is providing community education about the transportation funding challenges we are facing today and into the future to maintain and build new roads and maintain and expand our public transportation system to meet our region’s needs. 

Washoe County ballot questions RTC-2 for Public Transit and RTC-5 for Streets and Highways are two measures that will provide funding mechanisms that will adequately fund and sustain our street and highway projects and public transportation system.
