Nancy Brown, Charles Schwab Bank was caught in the act of improving our community’s Quality of Life for creating partnerships between banks and nonprofits helping people become financially stable.
Nancy has been developing community partnerships for a long time, including TMT’s affordable housing quality of life compact started late in 2004 with other banks and nonprofit partners. Since then the community’s capacity to deal with affordable housing issues has improved including over $400,000 in housing grants and funding awards in Washoe County, development of a data base that identifies housing resources and needs, 387 new units of affordable housing, and improved financial literacy for many lower income families.
Through her work with these programs, Nancy has positively impacted our Economic Wellbeing through the Individual & Family Economic Wellbeing Indicator, as well as our Land Use & Infrastructure through the Affordable Housing Indicator.
Join Truckee Meadows Tomorrow in recognizing Nancy at TMT’s annual meeting December 11th at 7:30 a.m. at Remedee’s Meeting Rooms at Renown. Click here for more information.
