Betty Rose, United Way of Northern Nevada & the Sierra (UW) was caught in the act of improving our community through UW’s volunteer-driven, allocation process funding community programs that further improve our Quality of Life.
For almost 10 years, Betty has run a high-level, volunteer-driven process for allocation of funds to community programs. UW’s Community Impact volunteers work together to address the most pressing issues that affect the Quality of Life in our community. Their conscientious volunteer efforts and decisions result in the allocation of $1 million to health and wellness, basic needs and youth services making a real difference in the community we share and serve.
Through her work with both these programs, Betty has positively impacted Enrichment and the Philanthrophy & Volunteerism Indicator.
