Adopt an Indicator
Enhancing job opportunities, creating a diverse environment with low crime, or preserving our natural resources requires our care. Each community indicator is measurable and reflects a piece of the region’s quality of life. By adopting an indicator, you are making a contribution to sustaining and improving the Truckee Meadows.
Adopt an Indicator. Here’s How:
1. Choose an Indicator(s):
Review TMT’s list of indicators and determine what your company or you as an individual are currently doing and/or want to do in the community. Are you involved with voter registration, technology education, cleaning parks, reading in a classroom, walking tours of the region, youth outreach, senior advocacy, etc? Adopt the indicator(s) which best describes your activities.
2. Make a Plan:
Outline the specific actions you plan to take to improve your indicator. Need some ideas? Click here.
3.Log your progress and track your outcomes:
Once you have selected your indicator and outlined your plan, log back in as much as you want or at least 4 times a year to share your progress and report on the outcomes of your service.
4. Celebrate your success
TMT will:
- Report your activities in TMT’s Benchmark quarterly newsletter
- Recognize you as an adopter in the program at TMT’s Accentuate the Positive community celebration
- Promote your efforts to the community through media announcements
- Recognize you as an adopter on TMT’s web site
