At the event, TMT will set the stage with a briefing that outlines how our community ranks on the following indicators: access to healthcare, wellness & preventative healthcare, mental health & social wellbeing, and perception of safety. A panel of experts will then discuss the impacts on community health resources, referrals and networks resulting from risky behaviors, as well as ideas to make prevention a health priority for youth, adults and policymakers. This is the first in a series of quarterly meetings focusing on the community’s quality of life indicators.
WHAT: TMT Community Forum
WHEN: Thursday, March 31, 5-7 p.m.
WHERE: KNPB Channel 5 Public Broadcasting, 1670 North Virginia St. (on the UNR campus)
COST: Free to TMT members, $10 for non-members
RSVP: Through TMT's Facebook page
The event will begin with an informal networking reception with light refreshments. Awards will also be presented to Silver Star winners. TMT meetings are open to anyone interested. For more information, directions, and to nominate Silver Stars, visit http://www.truckeemeadowstomorrow.org
