Join TMT for a local candidate forum. Instead of our typical quarterly forum, meet local candidates and ask them directly about your quality of life issues living, working or raising a family in the Truckee Meadows.
The forum will consist of an informal reception for the public to mingle with candidates in KNPB’s front community room; concurrently candidates will have the opportunity to participate in a formal candidate discussion moderated by KNPB’s Michael Haggerty in the KNPB studio before a live audience, which will be taped for future broadcast on KNPB.
The 33 quality of life indicators, developed with extensive input from citizens throughout our community in 2006, will be driving the content of the discussion and questions at our candidate forum. The public will be posting questions for candidates around these indicators on TMT’s website later this summer. It’s the perfect way to learn more about local races before voting and being a part of the community’s voter turnout indicator.
