(RENO, Nev.) – Do you know someone in the community who is doing great things? Perhaps that person or organization has helped increase government participation, promoted access to healthcare, encouraged healthy lifestyles or protected open space. Truckee Meadows Tomorrow (TMT) believes they deserve to be recognized for those efforts.
TMT reminds the community that there is little time left to nominate shining stars in our community for Accentuate the Positive (ATP), a biennial celebration scheduled for Oct. 9, 2009. Silver Stars will be awarded for each of the community’s 33 Quality of Life Indicators.
Nominations for this year’s 11th anniversary event will be accepted through April 30 and the process is easier than ever. Simply log on to TMT’s Web site to nominate a Silver Star today! Only online nominations will be accepted.
Silver Star nomination forms are available online at www.truckeemeadowstomorrow.org. Nearly 1,000 individuals are expected to attend the luncheon celebration. This year’s ATP event will be held on Friday, Oct. 9 in the Peppermill Tuscany Ballroom.
