FEATURE: 2005 Community Well-being Report
A discussion and review of Truckee Meadows Tomorrow’s 2005 Community Well-being in the Truckee Meadows Report will be the featured topic of TMT’s next general membership meeting, set for Thursday, June 23rd, beginning at 7:30 a.m. at Washoe Medical Center.
The report’s co-authors, Elisa Maser and Karen Hruby, will lead the discussion. Maser is on the TMT board and a project manager with Moore Iacofano Goltsman. She has also been involved in reporting on TMT’s quality of life indicators for the last decade. Hruby is TMT’s executive director. There will be much to highlight being as the 43-page report covered assessments of numerous quality of life indicators on the economic vitality, health care & wellness, the natural environment, land use & infrastructure, primary and secondary education and more. The meeting should be of importance to anyone interested in a frank discussion of quality of life issues in the region.
TMT’s community report debuted in 1995 and evolved into a biennial “community report card.” Copies of the 2005 report may be downloaded from TMT’s website: http://www.quality-of-life.org.
The meeting will be held in the Remedees meeting rooms at Washoe Med, just behind Remedees restaurant. A complimentary continental breakfast will be served, no reservations are needed and convenient free parking is available in the parking garage off Second St.
