We’ll honor exceptional nonprofits, businesses, and public initiatives that align with Truckee Meadows Tomorrow’s ten Quality of Life Indicators—recognizing the powerful, positive changes happening across our community.
Nominations are now open for all award categories. Finalists will be selected by a review committee and announced at the event.

Organizations may submit nominations for multiple categories, but Accentuate The Positive will grant only one award per individual and one per organization each year. Nominations can come from within or outside the nominated organization—anything goes!

Named in honor of Truckee Meadows Tomorrow’s founder, this prestigious award will be presented to an exceptional leader in the nonprofit sector who has demonstrated an enduring commitment to improving the Truckee Meadows. They are engaged with the overall community and have made significant change for good in their area of expertise.
The Data Champion Award is a prestigious honor presented at Accentuate The Positive, recognizing an organization (or collaborative initiative) that has demonstrated exceptional leadership in using data to create positive change for the residents of Washoe County.
This award recognizes an individual — a staff member, volunteer, or advocate — who has shown exceptional passion, leadership, and dedication within the category area.
The Community Silver Star exemplifies the spirit of service and personal commitment to improving life for others in Washoe County.
This award highlights a nonprofit organization, program, or collaborative that is moving the needle in a big way within the Quality of Life category. Winners will be recognized for broad, visible impact across the community, with innovative programs, partnerships, and significant outcomes contributing to Washoe County’s livability and vibrancy.
