About the Event

Many Americans – especially lawmakers – think of the arts and arts education as a luxury. The truth is that we can’t afford to live in a world without ART. The arts aren’t just for artists. Art unifies, educates, and elevates our Northern Nevada community. Local experts discuss why the arts matter to Nevada and how they keep us connected to our past and help us envision the Nevada of tomorrow. Join us for this critical community conversation.

Speakers include:

Alexis Hill - Arts, Culture, and Events Manager for City of Reno

Geralda Miller - Executive Director, ArtSpot Reno

Mario Delarosa - Director of Latino Arte and Owner of Ahora Lation Journal

Maria Partridge - Burning Man Project

Joe C. Rock - Mural and Print Artis and Arts Activist

Hosted and Moderated by Erica Mirich, Executive Director of Truckee Meadows Tomorrow
