Message from TMT's Board President

It is with tremendous gratitude that the Truckee Meadows Tomorrow Board of Directors announces Erica Mirich’s forthcoming departure as TMT’s Chief Executive Officer. Erica’s last day will be April 14, 2023.

The Board congratulates Erica on her outstanding leadership and wants to thank her for her dedicated service that has led to numerous successes for the organization. Erica joined TMT as its Executive Director in 2017. Since then, she helped usher in a new strategic plan, built new important strategic partnerships, and helped improve and stabilize operations and organizational processes, among many other accomplishments. Her out-of-the-box thinking, strategic vision and partnership-building skills have created a foundational structure that will serve TMT for years to come and are a true testament to Erica’s skillset as a leader.

We cannot thank Erica enough for the commitment, passion, creativity, and enthusiasm she has given TMT during her tenure. Erica leaves Truckee Meadows Tomorrow in a strong position for continued growth and we sincerely thank her for her contributions and leadership in her time here. She will be greatly missed by the Board, supporters, and our community alike.

While transitions are difficult, TMT always has a plan. TMT’s Board has already sprung into action and will oversee the process of permanently filling the position. We also realize that a thoughtful, equitable, and transparent search process takes time. Until Erica’s successor is in place, it is imperative that the work of TMT continues uninterrupted with rigor and steadfast leadership.

Sarah Gobbs-Hill Headshot

To that end, we are delighted to announce that the current TMT Deputy Director, Sarah Gobbs-Hill, will serve as TMT’s interim Executive Director beginning February 1, 2023. We are confident that this will be a smooth transition for our community partners and supporters. TMT’s Executive Committee and the entire Board of Directors remain deeply committed to finding the ideal leader who will guide us to the next evolution of our organization while developing and executing a comprehensive plan for an inspired future. During this transition period, it is our priority to maintain a stable and effective organization.

Sarah shared: After my tenure serving as Deputy Director for TMT, I am honored to take on the role of interim Executive Director to help continue TMT’s important mission. This will allow TMT to continue to provide our invaluable community offerings without interruption.

As interim Executive Director, Sarah will closely partner with the TMT Board to ensure our work continues, the mission advances, and we deliver a steadfast commitment to meet the needs of our stakeholders. You can read more about Sarah below.

We are grateful for Sarah’s passion and are deeply excited about TMT’s future. Also, we wish Erica the very best of luck in her future professional endeavors and look forward to continuing to collaborate with her.
