Though 2022 is off and running, we can't help but reminisce on 2021...so much great work was accomplished, so much innovation, so much impact and so much growth!
It was a big year for TMT. Read more below and press play in the video below to see just a few highlights.
The inertia of our new NevadaTomorrow.org Community Data Portal kept picking up speed.
We provided critical community data to dozens of new community partners - helping them tell their story, demonstrate real need for real people, better target their work, and secure desperately needed funding.
We built custom data dashboards for One Truckee River (ready to launch soon!) and the HELLO Project - "Quality of Life for Seniors in the Truckee Meadows" (ready to launch in April!).
We presented statewide on the youth mental health crisis, the impact of corporate philanthropy in Nevada, the state of women and children in Washoe County, what Nevada can expect from the American Rescue Plan funds destined for the Silver State and so much more.
We taught dozens of local non-profits, organizations and government agencies how to use NevadaTomorrow.org to elevate their internal operations.
We initiated the new Community Progress Report (due to publish this February!) with the help of an impressive steering committee.
Our Community Conversation Speaker Series hosted 8 incredible events collectively bringing almost 40 local experts to the table to discuss the obstacles and opportunities we face as a community here in the Truckee Meadows
We successfully merged with Truckee Meadows Healthy Communities to broaden our impact.
We took over the administration and direction for the critically important HELLO Project - an effort designed to reduce isolation and mental health challenges in our regions most vulnerable seniors. The HELLO Project is funded by the BUILD Health Challenge (mostly the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the deBeaumont Foundation) and Renown Health along with other community partners to improve connectivity for seniors.
We initiated four new members of the board of directors
We grew our team by adding in a new Deputy Director position.
and so. much. more!
Honestly, it has been a LOT but it was great fun too. Looking forward to this year there is so much in store for our community and region as Truckee Meadows Tomorrow and our NevadaTomorrow.org Community Data Portal keep on growing.
We can’t wait for what 2022 has in store!
In service to our community,
Erica Mirich
Executive Director
