We Welcome 3 New Board Members!

Kerry Eaton, Kevin Dick and Ray Gonzalez named new members of the TMT Board of Directors


Help us welcome Kerry, Kevin and Ray to the TMT board of Directors. We are thrilled to have them bring their leadership, passion and expertise to our growing Board. Read more about their impressive impact.

 

Kerry Eaton is a partner at Drinkwater Eaton Law Offices and focuses her practice in the areas of corporate/business law, intellectual property law and tax-exempt/non-profit entities. She works closely with both for-profit and non-profit businesses. Her relationship with her for-profit business clients generally begins during start-up, but continues for the life of the business, including contract negotiations and drafting, development of policies and procedures, and acquisition and protection of intellectual

property. Her work with non-profits includes assistance with policies and procedures, implementing necessary corporate governance and obtaining tax-exempt status.


In addition to her legal practice, Kerry owns and operates two additional businesses, The Employer Wizard and DECS, both of which are in the corporate services arena. Kerry is committed to providing her clients with as much support as necessary to operate

successfully.

Prior to her practice as an attorney, she was a CPA, focusing on audit and attest services with international gaming companies at Arthur Andersen LLP. In addition, Kerry also worked as an internal auditor with Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. Kerry graduated from the University of Nevada with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting and attended William & Mary School of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctor. Kerry was very excited to return to her hometown of Reno after graduating law school to assist Nevada businesses.

In addition to her practice, Kerry serves on non-profit boards and volunteers her time to community projects. These volunteer activities have included volunteering as a coach to local high school track and field teams, raising money for non-profits, teaching seminars on legal matters and judging business competitions. Currently, Kerry is the Immediate Past Chair of the Nevada Women’s Fund and is the President and Board Member of theNevada State Board of Accountancy.


When she is not working, she loves spending time with her family. Kerry uses her free time to train and compete in Obstacle Course Racing and has traveled all over the country competing and enjoying every mountain summit possible.

 

Kevin Dick is the Health Officer for the Washoe County Health District, which is responsible for protecting the health of 480,000 County residents and 4.5 million annual visitors. Prior to Mr. Dick’s appointment as District Health Officer in 2013, he served as the Director of the Air Quality Management Division. Previously he served as Director of UNR’s statewide Business Environmental Program, and as an Environmental Engineer at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in San

Francisco. Mr. Dick has a BS from the Cornell University College of Engineering.


Kevin also serves on the Boards of:

• Truckee Meadows Healthy Communities, President.

• Nevada Public Health Foundation, President.

• UNR School of Public Health, Community Advisory Board.

• Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority, ex-officio.


He is a founding member of the Nevada Association of Local Health Officials, the State chapter of the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), and is a member of the American and Nevada Public Health Associations (APHA/NPHA).

 

Raymond C. Gonzalez began his financial services career in 1997 after graduating Cum Laude from Occidental College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Kinesiology. He subsequently earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation, one of the nation's premier retirement planning credentials, providing him with an extensive knowledge base from which to help clients navigate their retirement planning options.


Ray, the oldest of his 5 brothers and 4 sisters, grew up in Winnemucca Nevada and now resides in Reno with his three wonderful children. He and his family are often busy with school and extracurricular activities including basketball and dance but, when time allows, they can be found enjoying the outdoors.

As a family man, and an active member of his community, Ray believes in the importance of giving back. He is currently involved with the Community Foundation of Western Nevada, Community Health Alliance, Reno Rotary, Nevada Human Society, American Heart Association, Executive Association of Reno (EAR); and Summit VMS, an organization that touches on an area of focus for Ray as mentors of local tech start-ups. Ray has also served on the board of several other organizations in the Reno area including the Education Alliance of Washoe County, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and as the President of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.


Ray and his team specialize in portfolio management and retirement plans such as 401(k), Profit Sharing, SEP, SIMPLE, Traditional, and Roth IRAs. Through Wells Fargo affiliates they have access to over 90 lines of business for their clients including lending services.
